All Peru Post shipments can be found on the Postal Ninja package tracker by entering the tracking number in the search field and clicking the "Find by tracking number" button.
SERPOST is the Peru's national postal operator, providing shipping services both domestically and internationally. In addition to standard deliveries, it also handles package deliveries. As part of the EMS cooperative, SERPOST is an official operator for the delivery of EMS shipments.
There are two types of general prohibitions and restrictions that are typical of all postal services: weight/measurement and content. All necessary information can be found on the official Peru Post website. The permitted types and possible restrictions for the shipment of goods also depend on the country of destination.
What are Peru Post tracking numbers like?
Postal shipments are grouped into two categories, and the main classification criterion is weight: small parcels are up to 2 kg; shipments are over 2 kg. Small parcels up to 2 kg may not be traceable, but SERPOST always registers EMS shipments and express deliveries and assigns them a tracking number.
The international postal identifier consists of an alphanumeric sequence:
For small packages weighing up to 2 kg: Rx123456785PE;
For shipments weighing between 2 and 20 kg: Cx123456785PE;
For EMS shipments: Ex123456785PE.
According to the international format of the Universal Postal Union, the structure of the tracking number has a specific meaning for each letter and digit:
First letter R/C/E: indicates the type of shipment. A Peru Post tracking number that starts with the letter R (Registered) designates registered small packages;
123456785: this numerical sequence provides a uniqueness;
PE: refers to the country of the originating postal service.
Tracking of Peru Post postal packages
To avoid worrying about your shipment from Peru and knowing where it is at any given moment, you can track a package on the Postal Ninja website with the translation of all tracking statuses.
With a "package received" status, the recipient can be sure that it has been sent. After that, Peru Post shipments in transit go to a distribution center, where they are sorted and directed to the international mail exchange point. The Peru Post items are then cleared through customs and delivered to the designated postal operator in the destination country. This is known as the "export" tracking stage. Once imported, they go through a similar process in the destination country. The final tracking status indicates that the package has been delivered.
