Bulgarian Posts is Bulgaria's national postal service, responsible for delivering international postal shipments and internal correspondence to individuals and legal entities. It also provides an urgent postal service and carries out EMS shipments. EMS shipping rates with Bulgarian Posts are higher, but allow for speedy delivery.
As a member of the Universal Postal Union, Bulgarian Posts carries out its work in accordance with the rules of the Universal Postal Convention, which regulates the international exchange of mail between members. An important point of this regulation is the prohibition of transporting certain materials; Bulgarian Posts has no right to make such shipments. These include explosive, flammable or radioactive substances, as well as other dangerous contents, counterfeit and pirated products, products of an obscene or immoral nature, etc.
Types of Bulgarian Posts tracking numbers
Bulgarian Posts assigns a tracking number to all EMS shipments and packages. Small packages may not have tracking and be sent without it.
Bulgarian Posts's tracking number format looks like this:
For small packages weighing up to 2 kg: Rx123456785BG;
For shipments weighing between 2 and 20 kg: Cx123456785BG;
For EMS shipments: Ex123456785BG.
According to the international format of the Universal Postal Union, the structure of the tracking number has a specific meaning for each letter and digit:
First letter R/C/E: indicates the type of shipment. A Bulgarian Posts tracking number that starts with the letter R (Registered) designates registered small packages;
123456785: this numerical sequence provides a uniqueness;
BG: refers to the country of the originating postal service.
Tracking of Bulgarian Posts postal packages
Through the tracking number, you can find a package from Bulgaria and find out in which distribution center it is located, when it passed through export and import, and arrived at the post office.
The sender can obtain the tracking number for a Bulgarian Posts shipment by registering it at the post office. You can also register a shipment remotely. Remember, however, that electronic registration does not guarantee that the sender has actually sent the item. In the former case, the physical delivery of the item is immediate, so the tracking information is very quickly added into the tracking system and the recipient can immediately verify the start of the international postal shipment.
